About Olivet Seminary

Olivet Seminary as part of Olivet University is an institution of biblical higher education dedicated to training ministry-bound men and women as biblical scholars and leaders, and to equipping them with the practical skills to preach the Gospel effectively into and after the ‘network generation’ – thus priming them to revolutionize the world through Christian mission.

Olivet Seminary is one of the few institutions with a truly global vision and a rapidly growing network around the world showing its commitment to this vision. A close cooperation with local congregations and fellowship centers guarantees our students to be in touch with mission and ministry throughout their programs. They become fishers of men when they experience an evangelistic emphasis in class, chapel twice a week, and retreats twice a year.

Our students experience these learning opportunities under the direction of faculty members with real experience in preaching and ministering. Through interaction with other students and faculty, amidst the many faith-centered opportunities to serve, we believe the students receive the training coveted by every Christian who has considered working in mission and ministry.

Each seminary location is holding classes in the language most appropriate to its student body, while a university grade online classroom environment allows for building learning communities far beyond the confines of the physical classroom. Olivet Seminary therefore truly delivers first class, biblical education where it is most needed: in the fastest developing mission fields and to its frontline workers.

Olivet Seminary faculty are passionate for their work. Although all faculty members are highly distinguished in their fields, they are chosen mainly for their personal interest in Christian work, rather than for credentials. Faculty are constantly seeking ways to extend their hands to help students beyond the basic commitment in the classroom. It seeks to broaden and deepen the educational foundation of students through a core of general studies. It also focuses on training that leads to church-related vocations.
